In August 2019, a man who can quite legitimately lay claim to being the world’s biggest FFAF fan (both literally and figuratively!), a close friend of FFAF, Stuart ‘Big Stu’ Brothers, passed away

As Stu’s friends, the band wanted to do something to help; particularly for his family and 3 young sons. It became apparent that the way in which they could best help Stu was to perform some fundraising shows, with the proceeds going directly to his family.

On October 27th, 28th and 29th 2019 , at the Cardiff Globe (27/28) and London Shepherd’s Bush Empire (29) respectively, Funeral for a Friend performed three shows to benefit the Brothers family.

Joining Matt, Kris, Gav and Rich for the shows was guitarist Darran Smith (who left the band in 2010) and drummer/vocalist Ryan Richards, who left in 2012.

Additionally, a fundraising page has been set up for Stu’s family here:

From the Cardiff show (27th) Darran has donated his set of strings from his PRS Custom 22 guitar, from which we’re making a limited number of items that are being auctioned to supplement the money already raised for the Brothers family

Funeral For A Friend – Reverb Bracelet

This "Reverb" guitar strings bracelet is made from strings played by Darran Smith from Funeral For a Friend's charity fund raising show on Oct 27th 2019 at Cardiff University. The winner of the auction will be emailed and we'll sort out the exact measurement for the perfect fit. The bracelet will come in a luxury presentation case, certificate of authentication and a serial number and you as the owner will be logged in our provenance database. The strings from Darran's guitar will differ slightly from the image shown.  The proceeds will go to the Brothers family.
