“Devastatingly contagious” is how Prog Magazine describes this instrumental trio. The Parallax Method are three friends who got together in 2014 to jam the type of music they loved without any plan of taking it out the rehearsal room. With vastly diverse inspirations between them, but a combined love of modern prog acts such as Tesseract, Karnivool and Periphery it was all but inevitable that the trio would start crafting music with this style in mind. Instead of going down this route exclusively though, The Parallax Method combine this ultra-modern prog style with old school classic rock tones, genuinely interesting songwriting surprises and refreshing melodic overtones.
No strangers to the independent scene following tenures in previous bands; Emperor Chung, Spirytus, Breed 77 and Isolysis, guitarist Danny, bassist Ben and drummer Dave eventually decided to unleash their special blend of modern prog on the world and haven’t looked back since.
With appearances at some of the most prestigious festivals including Bloodstock, UK Tech Fest, Camden Rocks and Macmillan Fest and support slots to Tesseract, Twelve Foot Ninja, Dorje and Toska under their belt they are starting to make waves.
Their debut EP The Owl was released in 2015 followed up with part two The Squid in May of 2017. Their debut album is currently in the works.
